It's been the worst-kept secret since Steve Ballmer's love of alternative dance, but at last it's official: the Asus-built, Google-branded Nexus 7 tablet, or just Nexus 7 to its friends, has been unveiled.

Its seven-inch screen and powerful quad-core processor means it's a pocket rocket, but is it good enough to tempt you away from a Kindle Fire, let alone a new iPad 3? Was Microsoft right to try and steal its thunder with Surface? Let the tablet trial commence!

Nexus 7 vs new iPad vs Kindle Fire vs Surface: Design

There's only so much you can do with the design of a rectangle, and the Nexus 7 - surprise! - looks like a tablet, albeit a slightly glossier, more tapered tablet than the PlayBook-esque Kindle Fire.
Stripped of its colourful covers, Microsoft's Surface is really just a slab with a kickstand; it's a nice slab, but it's still a slab. We think the iPad is the best looking device, especially in white, even if it is a bit thicker than the iPad 2.

We nabbed a good chunk of hands on time with the Google Nexus 7, the new challenger in the tablet market.

The new tablet, which weighs in at just 340g, packs a 7 inch screen with 1280x800 screen and comes complete with a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 CPU, plus a 12 core GPU too.

What's more, the tablet costs just £159 or £199 (depending on whether you want an 8GB or 16GB variant) and will be $199 in the US.

However be warned: there's no microSD card slot nor a rear-facing camera… although we're not sure many people will miss the latter.

Asus is gunning for smartphone territory with its transforming Padfone device, we see how it compares to Samsung's flagship, the quad core-powered Galaxy S3.

Form

Samsung Galaxy S3 - 136.6x70.6x8.6mm, 133g
Asus Padfone - 128x65.4x9.2mm, 129g

From the front, the Asus Padfone looks very much like any other smartphone on the current market with its rounded corners and ‘candy bar’ proportions.

The only slight difference is along the bottom edge, which has a slightly raised lip but then curves downwards under the handset. From the side you can see the device has a distinctive wedge shape going from top to bottom while on the back there’s an extremely clean and minimalist aesthetic and a brushed texture.

In terms of build quality it does seem very solid and well-made, though the materials aren’t the most premium feeling you’ll encounter.

We take a look at how Microsoft’s new Surface for Windows RT tablet compares against Apple’s well-established iPad 3.

Form

Apple iPad 3 - 241.2 x 185.7 x 9.4mm, 652g
Microsoft Surface for Windows RT – 9.4mm thick, other dimensions TBA

With the iPad 3, Apple stuck to its guns on design and overall there’s no noticeable difference from its predecessor, the iPad 2. It’s less than a millimetre thicker at 9.4mm and a little bit heavier at 652g, but put the iPad 3 and iPad 2 side-by-side and you’d be hard pushed to tell they’re different devices.

By now, everyone knows about the upcoming inexpensive Google Nexus 7 tablet. The slate is made by Asus, but it’s a full-fledged Nexus device, which means that it will run the latest version of Android (Jellybean/4.1) and will receive updates straight from Google.

Well, you won’t have to wait much longer, since we’re just two days away from Google I/O, when the tablet will be unveiled together with Android 4.1 Jellybean. You should be able to get your hands on the Nexus 7 tablet from the same day (if you’re going to Google I/O) or a couple of weeks later, in July, when the tablet is set to start selling.

Brazil is soon going to become the 4th largest country of smartphone buying customers, by replacing UK from their current 6th position. So it seems very unfortunate for HTC to have to cancel their planned One series launch for the country, but even more importantly to leave the country altogether. They had 27 million smartphone owners; 9 million smartphones were sold last year alone.

Bigger is better. That seems to be the conclusion of a recent survey that says the majority of smartphone owners want their next phone to have a bigger screen. While the 3.5-inch display of the iPhone was distinctive at the time of its introduction, which was five years ago, Apple seems adamant in keeping it, on the basis that a 3.5-inch display is the optimal size for operating your phone with one hand.

Is Apple about to have a change of heart by introducing a bigger and sharper display for its iPhone 5?  Welcome to another edition of the iPhone 5 rumor mill.

LG may not be the world’s best-known smartphone maker or the largest maker of smartphones in the world, like their co-nationals Samsung, but the Koreans are, nevertheless, a force to be reckoned with.

First off, the phone maker has passed through a long period of lackluster evolution, marked by mediocre products and a dwindling mindshare. But now, all signs indicate that LG is back with a vengeance. And for those in the know – LG has been making major waves in their display division, and is producing what many consider to be some of the finest displays available to date.

Over the past several months, LG has scored a number of important wins. It stole the limelight at MWC with its new phones, including the Optimus 4X HD that we are reviewing today. Then, some technically impressive devices were leaked, suggesting that LG is keen to push the technological envelope, more than any other Android OEM has thus far. Very importantly, the Koreans achieved a rare performance – they managed to pull themselves back to profitability, after many consecutive quarters of losses.

LG’s renewed focus on technical excellence is slowly bringing the company back to the ultra competitive top tier smartphone battle royale. And this focus is visible in the LG Optimus 4X HD, a device that bears an arsenal of specs that will impress even the savviest of tech buyers. It’s clear that LG is ready to square off with Samsung, HTC, and even Apple. But will consumers agree? Read on.

LG Optimus 4X HD Specs

I’m sure you’re all hungering after this! A comparison between Samsung’s new Flagship phone, the Galaxy S3, and Apple’s iPhone 4S.

Screen Size

The screen of the iPhone is laughable when compared next to the Samsung Galaxy S3. The iPhone may have it’s ‘Retina Display’, but the high resolution of the SGS3 spread over 4.8inches is even more lovely to look at. Apple should understand that big screens are what people want and studies have proven this.

Weight

The iPhone 4S has less inside it, but weighs more! Samsung have set another marker in pioneering light smartphones with even more hardware stuffed inside them. I love that the SGS3 can have the battery removed and an SD card inserted! It means that third party batteries like those from Magellan can be installed for extra power. Also, the whole affair of rooting the SGS3 will be easier when you have removable storage. In my opinion lack of removable storage is a flaw of the One X. Unibody  construction may look impressive, but what is the real point besides a ‘no edge’ finish? Alright, but let’s stay focused on the S3 vs iPhone, shall we?

Canadians who marked June 20th on their calendars as Galaxy S III Day will have to hold off on the festivities for a week, as Samsung has just confirmed that it's shifting the Canadian release to June 27th. As you'd expect, the company is blaming the last-minute swap on "unprecedented demand" -- the nine million worldwide pre-orders that it only anonymously mentioned before now -- and the resultant difficulty in getting enough supply for the magic moment. Any further shortages are still poised to be "short lived," Samsung promises us.

The extra wait will no doubt leave us with more than a few crestfallen Canucks; we just hope the shortage doesn't spread and push more US launches into July in the process.

The Nokia Lumia 710 is equipped with the same single-core 1.4GHz processor that you will find powering the flagship Nokia Lumia 900 model. Some of the other specs were designed to keep costs down, such as the smaller 3.7 inch display, the 5MP backside shooter and the lack of a front-facing camera. But thanks to these design choices, you can pick up the Nokia Lumia 710 for free at T-Mobile through April 17th. The deal will require you to sign a 2-year contract and lets you save $50, the usual contract price of the phone, and will most likely require you to mail-in a rebate form.

A court date has been set for Apple and Samsung's UK legal battle
Apple and Samsung have been embroiled in legal disputes since early 2011 and are now set to bring the fight to UK courts.

Apple alleges that Samsung has infringed on its intellectual property in creating the Galaxy range of tablet devices, while Samsung claims the accusation is false.

Apple had previously sought to delay the case but has had its request denied twice with two Judges ordering that it should proceed on the original date set. That means proceedings will start on June 18, next Monday, in the High Court.

Samsung and Apple’s intellectual property and patent warfare has taken the companies on a global litigation tour with cases in Australia, Japan, the US, Germany and the Netherlands.

Apple’s cases have focused on the visual design of Samsung’s phones and tablets, which it claims are copied from the iPhone and iPad.

Samsung’s counter-suits have been issued over the use of certain Wireless and data technology patents.

In Australia, Apple’s unsuccessful attempt to remove the Galaxy Tab 10.1 from sale led to a Samsung marketing campaign branding it as ‘the tablet Apple tried to ban.’

This comparison sees the low-priced end of Windows Phone do battle with its Android equivalent as the Sony Xperia U takes on the Nokia Lumia 710

We see how two budget rivals compare with Nokia's Windows Phone-powered Lumia 710 facing off against the Android-based Sony Xperia U.

Form

Sony Xperia U - 112x54x12mm, 110g
Nokia Lumia 710 - 119x62.4x12.5mm, 125.5g

Both Nokia and Sony consistently bring interesting handset designs to the table and that’s a trend which continues with these two models.

The Xperia U follows the signature style set for the rest of Sony’s latest Xperia range having a much chunkier form factor than earlier Xperia models under the Sony Ericsson brand.

Thin, curved and wedge-shaped edges have been replaced with broad flat surfaces that ensure better grip and a more solid feel to the device. Build quality and materials are also markedly better, adding further to the appeal of the devices.

iPhone 5
How the new iphone going to look like? To answer sincerelly WE DO NOT know. That’s why we have posted a question mark iPhone in the site. Nobody knows yet, probably the only one who knows how it will look like is the Apple CEO.

We don’t even know the new iphone release date, name or anything else. How could we know how it will be designed. All i can say for sure is that i trust Apple and i am sure the new iPhone design and features will make it the best gadget in the world (at the moment).

Why did Apple name iPad 3, the new iPad ?

My humble opinion is that they named it in order to create more buzz around the release of the iPhone 5. And it actually worked. People whre getting tired to wait for the new iPhone 5 release and everything was a mistery after the iPhone 4S release. As i showed you earlier in my post, iPhone lovers started the speculations about the new name of the iPhone and Google is full of discussions about this subject. This marketing technique made people to be more anxious about the release. I,as an iPhone lover, can’t wait for the new iphone to be available for purchase. This proves that it worked on me.
People also speculated that the new iphone will be named iPhone SJ and it will be launched 1 year after Steve Jobs passed away. NO WAY it will happen. They won’t celebrate the death of Apple’s creator with a new iPhone. This speculation was more credible if it was to celebrate his birthday.

Apple is set to hold an iPhone event on Tuesday October 4th, but this weekend Cincinnati Bell, a small regional carrier in Ohio, let slip some interesting information about the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S.

These images come via TUAW, and show placeholders for the iPhone 5 and the iPhone 4S. These screenshots do not show images of either device, but offer a look at the possible specs for Apple’s new iPhone.

Before you get too excited, these could just be placeholders put up by an expecting carrier — but even that is a telling sign. Just yesterday, we saw the Sprint iPhone 5 show up in Radio Shack’s inventory system.

You see, these screenshots appeared on the pre-paid pages of Cincinnati Bell. This is the first time we have heard about this carrier getting the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S.

The first screenshot shows the specs of an iPhone 5. This includes a larger 4″ display, up from 3.5″ on the current iPhone 4. We also see an 8MP camera listed, which is an improvement over the current 5MP iPhone 4 camera, and we also see 4G data speeds listed. While this might get your heart beating a big faster, calm down. This isn’t real 4G LTE, which delivers super fast downloads. Instead, this is HSPA+, which is only 4G in a fantasy world where marketers control definitions.

Next up, we see a screenshot of an iPhone 4S placeholder. This is the rumored low cost, tweaked iPhone 4. The iPhone 4S claims to have the current iPhone 4′s 3.5″ display and 5MP camera, but has an upgraded A5 processor. This device is notably cheaper at $99 after an instant $300 rebate.

We are waiting for Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, to announce the new iPhone on October 4th at the company’s headquarters in California. We expect at least one new iPhone, but we may actually get two unique devices on Tuesday. If the iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S are announced by Apple, we expect a release date of mid October on Sprint, AT&T and Verizon.

Samsung's Galaxy S3 takes on its predecessor, the Galaxy S2 in our head-to-head comparison
We compare the Samsung Galaxy S3 to its immediate predecessor, the Galaxy S2.

Form
Samsung Galaxy S2 - 125.3x66.1x8.5mm, 116g
Samsung Galaxy S3 - 136.6x70.6x8.6mm, 133g

The Galaxy S2 formed part of an iconic visual style of its time and place, following on from the Apple iPhone, it kept the trend of a more angular and slab-like shape, with slightly softened corners and a svelte 8.5mm profile.

Although visual trends are now changing it's a design that still looks contemporary a year later. Chrome accents provide a bit of contrast to the black bodywork (though this is somewhat lost on the white version) and the back panel features a nice textured, mesh-like surface.

Samsung is known for using durable plastics, meaning we know the Galaxy S2 isn't going to fall apart any time soon, but the handset does have a slightly cheap feel for a premium model, particularly on the back panel.

Samsung's successor model, the Galaxy S3, likewise follows the trends of its contemporaries, this time there's more than a hint of HTC's recent One range, particularly the mid-level One S. Samsung said the design was inspired, in part, by ‘pebbles' which is evident in the more curved shape over all.

Samsung Music Hub takes on its well-established rival, the Apple iTunes service
Samsung has just launched its Music Hub service so we thought it'd be a good idea to see how it compares to the old guard, Apple's iTunes platform.

Content
The most immediate way to directly compare the two is their respective music catalogues. Currently iTunes has over 20 million tracks while Samsung has clearly been rather busy as it has already accumulated around 19 million.

Apple does have more but not by a huge stretch and it's likely Samsung is still in the process of accumulating more content for its rival service as it's planning not just on tackling iTunes but other competing services such as Spotify too.

Another key difference lies between the two free and subscription based branches of each service. With iTunes you can optionally sign-up for iTunes Match for £21.99 per year.

Before we begin, we have to mention that benchmark results and real-life performance are two different things. Yet tech enthusiasts like to run synthetic tests on their hardware and software anyway, just to see what they are theoretically capable of.

With that out of the way, it has been discovered that Safari on iOS 6 achieves better benchmark scores that it does on iOS 5. Most notably, there is a 17% increase in handling JavaScript, as tested with the Sunspider 0.9.1 benchmark. In addition, Safari's HTML5test benchmark results are over 11% higher on iOS 6. The CSS3 tests delivered a score of 57%, which is a slight increase versus the 52% that the browser can achieve on iOS 5. All tests were performed on an iPhone 4S.

The iconic iPhone 4S takes on the LG Optimus 4X HD in this bare-knuckle brawl
We compare Apple's iPhone 4S to the latest offering from LG, the quad core Android 4.0-powered Optimus 4X HD.

Form
Apple iPhone 4S - 115.2x58.6x9.3mm, 140g
LG Optimus 4X HD - 8.9mm thick, other dimensions TBA

With the iPhone 4S, Apple decided to keep the same design as the previous model. For some, Apple's iconic designs can do no wrong and represent the pinnacle of aesthetic style, while others can't help but yawn at the sight of them.

We certainly don't think the iPhone 4S is ugly, its shape does have an appeal and the build quality is unquestionably going to be up there with the best. But at the same time we are somewhat jaded towards it now and a fresh-faced iPhone 5 with a brand new chassis can't come soon enough.

If you like the softened corners and evenly proportioned panels of Apple's typical house style then no doubt the iPhone 4S will still sit well with you.

We're after something a bit bolder though, and that's where LG's Optimus 4X HD comes in. LG has never really had a problem with making devices which look good and which are built to a decent standard.

We stack the HTC One XL up against an oversized smartphone 'phablet', the Samsung Galaxy Note.
The HTC One XL takes on one of the few handsets around that's bigger, the Samsung Galaxy Note.

Form
HTC One XL - 134.8x69.9x8.9mm, 129g
Samsung Galaxy Note - 146.9x83x9.7mm, 178g

The Samsung Galaxy Note resembles an enlarged Galaxy S2. The vast screen takes up most of the front panel and is centrally positioned creating an even amount of bodywork above and below, along with a thin bezel at the edges of the display for an up-to-date look.

The HTC One S takes on the might of the Samsung Galaxy S3 and its quad core processing power
We pitch the Samsung Galaxy S3 against the mid-level model from HTC’s One range, the HTC One S.

Form
HTC One S - 130.9 x 65 x 7.8 mm, 119,5g
Samsung Galaxy S3 - 136.6 x 70.6 x 8.6 mm, 133g

The HTC One S features an aluminium unibody shell that is very solid and sturdy with a high-quality matte finish. Both the One X and the One S represent a big step forwards design-wise for HTC.

The shape is rounded off at the corners, something we’ve come to expect from earlier HTC models, however, here things are kept interesting as it's more carefully contoured and the edges have a slightly chiselled form factor.

What will Tim Cook reveal about iOS 6, the iPhone 5 and Apple TV during his WWDC 2012 keynote? We investigate

Tim Cook will take the stage at WWDC 2012 later this evening (6pm GMT) to outline Apple’s aspirations for the remainder of the year and 2013.

Apple’s keynote speeches are always a big deal but what can we expect from Tim Cook and Apple later today?

Many believe iOS 6 will dominate proceedings, citing the iPhone 5’s imminent – yet still unknown – launch. Apple TV is also expected to feature heavily as well, although we’re pretty dubious about Apple’s actual HD TV, currently referred to iTV, making an appearance.

A 3D artist has carefully brought together all the current rumours surrounding the forthcoming iPhone 5 and rendered a video of what the handset might look like from every angle.

Blackpool Creative's Bryce Hammond created the rendering, which must've taken some considerable research to narrow down a design given the hundreds of rumours circulating around the web.

We see how the forthcoming Asus Tablet 600, powered by Windows 8, compares with Apple's iconic third-generation iPad

Asus' Tablet 600 looks set to be one of the first wave of Windows 8 tablets which should arrive towards the end of the year. Like the Android-powered Transformer series, it's a hybrid device which combines the tablet's touchscreen with a laptop keyboard dock.

We take a look at how it stacks up against the current tablet king, Apple's iPad 3.

With WWDC kicking off this Monday, Apple has begun putting up banners at the Moscone West convention center. In an interesting reveal, it has now been confirmed Apple will be unveiling iOS 6 at it’s keynote on Monday, thanks to spyshots of the banners put up.

Clear shot above courtesy of CNET. Although nothing about the operating system was revealed, it does confirm what is to come, and that Apple will discuss the “future of iOS” at the event.

One final note is that the banner features a silver-colored theme, that has been rumored to be making its way to the iPhone to replace the current blue theme in most of Apple’s apps, similar to the silver theme already on the iPad.  We’ll be updating the site on Monday keeping you updated on all the news to come out of WWDC.

The new iPad has been and gone, sporting a chunkier and heavier build than the iPad 2, which left some wondering: what's with all the extra weight?

However, it looks like Apple may be about to aid those conscious of extra grams in their bags, as rumours hot up about a potential iPad mini (or iPad nano, if you prefer) arriving later this year.
As the Amazon Kindle Fire steals the budget tablet show and with more small, cheap tablets on the horizon, such as the Google Nexus tablet, Apple may well want a bite of the, well, apple.

Back in 2010, former Apple CEO Steve Jobs said that smaller screened tablets were not "sufficient to create great tablet apps" and would be "dead on arrival", so rumours suggesting a new iPad mini is in the works reveals a potentially new direction for the firm in its post-Jobs era.
Believe it or not, there's certainly a lot of chat surrounding the iPad mini, so we've scooped it all up, mushed it all together and expelled it into a handy round up, allowing you to keep track of every twist and turn.
If you're pressed for time then check out our iPad Mini rumour roundup video below.

Update:
A new report has examined the prospects for an iPad Mini - and how it might contribute to the company's bottom line, particularly with gamers and the educational market.

Sony Mobile is set to launch the Xperia neo L in certain markets during Q3 2012. The handset looks reasonably attractive to our eyes – think of it as an Xperia PLAY without the slide-out joypad. The front face looks very similar with a 4-inch (480 x 854) display and includes four hard buttons as seen on the Xperia PLAY. Saying that though, the Xperia neo L is still fairly chunky at 12.8mm in thickness.

Everybody knows that the smartphone of the moment is the Samsung Galaxy S3 (S III) and it looks bound to be a smash hit for Samsung. Due to be released at the end of May for the UK and Europe and in the summer for the US, some of its main competition will come from Apple’s iPhone 4S. Today we want to look at the iPhone 4S vs. the Samsung Galaxy S3 and also give readers a review roundup.

The Galaxy S3 has some very decent specs and features and first impressions seemed quite impressive although since then we’ve noted a rather mixed reception. We’ll give you some idea of the key specs and features of the Galaxy S3 and iPhone 4S before moving on to what the reviews had to say. We’ve already given readers official specs of the Galaxy S3 but brief highlights include an Exynos quad-core processor for the international variant, with the US version possibly dual-core to enable LTE.

Samsung Epic 4G will be only the second 4G phone available in the U.S.

When DailyTech reported on leaked specs for a full-Qwerty alternative of the Samsung Galaxy S for Sprint last month, we called the Android-based smartphone the "Galaxy S Pro". Since then, the phone has been officially dubbed the Samsung "Epic 4G", and all the specs that we reported have now been confirmed by a Samsung and Sprint press sheet via sdx-developers.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is scheduled to be officially released in the UK on the 30th of May. However, according to Ubergizmo via Tweakers, the Pebble Blue version of the handset will be delayed due to issues in manufacturing.

Apple's launch of the iPhone 4 has seen the greatest excitement for a new phone ever - and with HD video recording, a super high-res screen and ridiculously slim dimensions, it's not hard to see why.
But things are a little different now - not only was the iPhone 3GS something of a non-update to the iPhone range, but there are finally decent alternatives in the smartphone market, with the HTC Desire and Samsung Galaxy S leading the Android fight right to Apple's door.

At least Apple has unleashed the big guns for this effort - before we get into the headline specs, the design itself is a massive talking point on its own.
Jobs' chats on stage to unveil a new iPhone might have got a little repetitive (best this, magical that etc) but this is the first time since the first iPhone way back in January 2007 that we've seen a variation on the standard iPhone design.

If you still don’t know if you should buy the new iPhone 4S, the following are some of the advantages and disadvantages of this smartphone. Lineas dedicadas costa rica

The HTC Desire V also comes with the latest version of HTC’s custom user interface, HTC Sense 4.0 and it features  a 4 inch WVGA touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.

Siri on the iPhone 4S may be highly popular in the US, but still fails to show its full potential in the UK. It fails to understand regional accents and it takes a while for the virtual personal assistant to provide more information on local businesses. More often than not, it fails to lookup businesses in the UK.

Brief Mobile has leaked the specs of the HTC Ville C (known as just the HTC Ville in the past). The leak reveals the handset to be similar to the One S.

According to the leak, the phone sports a 4.3-inch AMOLED display and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and 1 GB of RAM. However, the Ville C comes packed with a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon S3 processor, which is less powerful compared to the One S’s 1.5 GHz S4 processor.

Mobile Tracker uSwitch has a new handset sitting on top of its mobile chart and it’s none other than the Samsung Galaxy S3, which has knocked off the Apple iPhone 4S.

uSwitch bases its results on handset pre-orders and mobile searches. In May, Samsung’s new flagship stole the lead from Apple’s current blower.

Can’t wait to get your hands on a Windows Phone Mango handset? If this is the case, Samsung might just have what you are looking for.

If you’re looking for something top-of-the-line, the Samsung Focus S might just be up your alley. It sports a massive 4.3 inch AMOLED display, an 8 megapixel camera, and a 1.4 GHz processor under the hood. Despite all of this hardware, the phone is a mere 8.55 mm thick.

Samsung Focus S Samsung had announced its all new Samsung Focus S just a few days ago. The new phone is Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango based and is powered by a very powerful processor.

The Samsung Focus S is the great smartphones with its 4.3" Super AMOLED Plus placed on top of a super slim 8.65mm body. You'd also be getting an 8 megapixel main camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing snapper with this one. The CPU under the Samsung Focus S bonnet ticks at 1.4GHz (no dual-core apparently), while its built-in radios allow for 4G speeds (though we suspect HSPA+ is what they meant).

Strangely enough, though, AT&T, failed to provide images of the newly announced devices. We'll be updating this article when their PR department gets round to uploading them on their website.

iPhone 5 Specs and Release Date. The new generation of Apple's smartphone is the middle of entering a period of trial production. Devices that will clad the metal chassis is said to have been equipped with antenna technology will be marketed better and start the third quarter of 2011.

Blackberry Torch 9850. RIM recently announced four new smartphones here and the BlackBerry Torch 9850 is one of them. This handset has a 3.7 inches screen, a five megapixels camera along with 720p HD video capture, and a 1.2 GHz processor.

The specs of this phone say that it belongs to the upper tier and hence you can expect it to carry a big price tag. This handset hasn’t been released in India yet so I can’t tell you about the price but it is sure that this phone won’t come cheap. Also, prices drop very fast; so if you aren’t too desperate for this device, I would recommend you to wait for a little longer.

With the WWDC happening next week, the iPhone 5 release date is waiting to explode. We could see a release date for iPhone 5 at the conference, but it’s possible that the iPhone 5 won’t even see any action at all at WWDC ... remember last year? We were all chomping at the bit for it, and nothing happened on the iPhone front. If we are to find out the iPhone 5 release date, it might be more likely announced this Fall. We should see some great things at the WWDC though, with fresh news of an iTunes redesign alongside a new Apps Store and iBookstore. Tim Cook spoke last week of big things coming up for Siri, so that could go with a new iOS6 release as well.
iPhone 5 Release Date

It’s becoming increasingly likely that Apple might not announce the iPhone 5 release date at the WWDC at all ... remember that last year everyone was waiting for it, until it never happened. Instead, we received word of the iPhone release date at a special press event held by Apple called “Let's Talk iPhone,” and that wasn’t until early Fall. Apple Store employees have already been told that they'll be working late days ahead of WWDC this week, according to AppleInsider. “Some Apple retail employees will be working late nights ahead of the upcoming Worldwide Developers Conference, while a handful of stores recently had surprise visits from workers out of Apple's corporate headquarters,” so something is about to happen.

Add to that this weekend’s rumors / news from 9to5Mac that Apple will be updating iOS6 with un update iTunes, App Store and iBookstore, saying”According to sources familiar with Apple’s upcoming iOS 6 mobile software offering, the company’s three major digital stores will see design overhauls. The overhauls are said to be major and they focus on improved interactivity when making purchases in iTunes, the App Store, and the iBookstore. Social is a big piece of the store overhauls, and Facebook integration is being tested in the iTunes Store portion, at least.” It seems like the iPhone release date might be the farthest thing from what Apple is working on, though I’m willing (and wanting) to be wrong.

Tim Cook hinted at a bigger Facebook integration with Apple in the future at the AllThingsD conference last week, but really avoided the iPhone 5 release date as well as iPhone 5 specs issue by answering the question “What about the iPhone 5?” with “Who had the next question?”

iPhone 5 Specs

MacRumors talked about how the Japanese blog Macotakara  was looking at new iPhone 5 specs like a front panel glass panel, and they had video (below) and photos. Tough to tell if these are authentic or not ... and being one who thrives on the Apple economy like anyone else I DO have to admit that it seems a bit too far to go to fabricate fake parts just to post to the web.
