Brief Mobile has leaked the specs of the HTC Ville C (known as just the HTC Ville in the past). The leak reveals the handset to be similar to the One S.

According to the leak, the phone sports a 4.3-inch AMOLED display and an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera, and 1 GB of RAM. However, the Ville C comes packed with a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon S3 processor, which is less powerful compared to the One S’s 1.5 GHz S4 processor.

Although the Ville C looks to be a cheaper version of the One S, it does have one advantage. It comes with HTC’s Sense UI version 4.5 slapped on top of Android, compared to Sense 4.0 on handsets such as the One V, One S, and One X. Unlike other UIs by various Android manufacturers, Sense is more loved than hated. So we’re eager to find out what Sense 4.5 has to offer.

Earlier during the week, the Taiwanese firm unveiled the Desire C, a budget handset. Judging from the way HTC is now naming its handset, does the suffix ‘C’ stand for lower specs? We’ll just have to wait for HTC to officially unveil the Ville C to find out for sure.
